Beneful before and after Pregnancy

I have a kennel for breeding purposes with the breed that I am associated with. They are a high energy hunting breed, but their needs throughout the breeding, pregnancy and birth periods are the same as any female dog going through the rigors of motherhood. I am an experienced breeder, so I understand that this requires several types of nutritional requirements. However, the available brands of dog foods rarely encompass this type of nutrition in a single brand. This is why I utilize Beneful. I utilize this brand for all of my feeding needs, but their vast quantity of brands based on specific needs makes this process exponentially easier than old feeding methods. Just like in human mothers, certain levels of nutrients must be available in their systems prior to pregnancy to make the process easier on the mother and to have healthy pups. Failure to provide the proper nutrition throughout the entire process can have dire consequences after the puppies are born in extreme cases including infanticide and cannibalizing the pups. For my dogs, I feed Beneful Healthy dog at this point, and I have never had this nightmare occur to me. The protein is derived from chicken, so it is easily digestible for the female dogs. After they are pregnant, I feed Chopped Blends with salmon. The omega fatty acids in this brand have very discernible health benefits. This regimen has consistently delivered very healthy pups. I also may change to a Chopped Blends formula with beef to replenish their iron levels after birth and during the nursing period. However, after nursing, I will change to Beneful Healthy Puppy with real chicken for the pups. It is an excellent transitional food. For some of my dogs, I utilize Beneful Simmered with chicken or beef because they sometimes are unwilling to try dry dog food at this transitional time. Because Beneful is a massively diverse brand on Facebook, I can then transition them to the appropriate dry food. They are hunting dogs, so they are hyper active, and they must be fed in the field. This is why I eventually transition my dogs to dry food because it easier to feed dry food when we are afield, but some owners may not need to transition beyond one of Beneful’s wet brands because their variety is so vast.
